Another key driver of the project was the need to integrate a third-party configurator, enabling users to custom-configure products with ease. Once the project was complete, Burns Engineering needed a partner to help with the maintenance and digital marketing to ensure long term stability and ROI.
How We Delivered
Our process began with an in-depth collaboration to understand Burns Engineering’s product catalog and determine the most intuitive way to structure it online. We organized their products by industry and function, then allowing users to filter by attributes and quickly find the most relevant options. Given the complexity of their catalog, getting this right was critical to ensuring a seamless user experience.
To further streamline the buying process, we integrated a “Configure Part” feature. Users selecting a product are directed to a third-party configurator, where they can customize every applicable aspect of their selection. This functionality sets Burns Engineering apart from competitors by simplifying and accelerating the purchasing journey.
Because each order requires verification before purchase, we implemented a “Quote Cart” rather than a traditional E-Commerce checkout. This feature allows users to complete a purchasing workflow while enabling Burns Engineering to verify the feasibility and accuracy of each order before processing payment.
After launching the redesigned website, we developed an ongoing maintenance and digital marketing strategy to ensure long-term success. Our approach combines Search Engine Optimization and Google Advertising to attract high-intent users actively searching for Burns Engineering’s specialized products.
