The team at Mooney came to us with an interesting proposition. The Texas-based company, which once manufactured single-engine aircraft and hopes to do so again, has a large cult following. As part of their goal to revitalize the brand, they approached us to create a website with a forum to bring the existing community of airplane owners and pilots together. They also stressed their need to maintain administrative rights over the site and said they wanted a method of verifying user accounts to make sure it remained a closed, exclusive community.
We completely revamped Mooney’s existing site and shifted it away from its previous focus on aircraft sales. Now, the streamlined, easy-to-navigate site serves as a communication hub where owners and pilots can share information and ask questions about their planes. Additionally, anyone visiting the site can learn more about the brand, see photos and even shop for Mooney merchandise.
Hundreds of people signed up for the forums the day the site was launched and many more have joined since then, making it the premier online destination for Mooney-related conversation. We were also able to save the company money by moving them to a different website platform. All in all, we’re very happy with the way Mooney’s new website has taken flight.
